Colloquium on New Materials, Passing the course (Updated 2.10.2008)
One credit point is given for students who collect at least 14 points. Points are given: listening to a lecture (1 p.), writing a short (1 page) summary about listened lecture (1 p.)
In practice, to get 1 credit, you will need to:
- Listen to 9 talks and write a short (1 page) summary about 5 of them
OR
- Listen to 8 talks and write a short (1 page) summary about 6 of them
OR
- Listen to 7 talks and write a short (1 page) summary about 7 of them
The summaries should should include the key contents of the lecture in your own words.
The summaries need to be typewritten - handwritten (or scanned) summaries will not be accepted.
Two credit points are given to the students who in addition to the previous write an essay/short report (about 7 pages). The topics of the essays are loosely tied to the topics of the lectures and will be published in November.
Please note, that the credits are "old credits". They are multiplied by 1.5 when transformed into new credits.
